ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2023

Narre Warren Bowls Club held its Annual General Meeting on Saturday, May 13th, 2023.

 

The day began with a great breakfast prepared by various helpers who turned up early to serve it before the AGM.

The meeting was well-attended by members, who were eager to hear about the Club’s recent successes and to vote on the new board and committee positions.

 

The outgoing president, Peter Groom, said goodbye to the Club with an emotional speech, after 4 years of activity.

 

The new president, Craig Moore thanked Peter Groom for his outstanding leadership and expressed his commitment to continuing the Club’s success.

 

The secretary Eric Sydenham highlighted the Club’s strong financial position,  and mentioned the major renovations and extensions being undertaken .

He emphasized the benefits of getting a Club Coach for the first time with great achievements in both weekend and midweek Pennant competition.

He also mentioned the Club success in winning several major trophies (a Panther’s team represented the Club in the National Final of the BPL CUP competition at Pine Rivers Club in Brisbane)

 

Eric also thanked Narre’s members for their continued support and highlighted the importance of volunteers in the Club’s success.

 

Geoff Miller was nominated for Life Membership, in recognition for his outstanding service to Narre Warren Bowls Club.

 

The meeting concluded with the presentation of trophies to the winners of the Club’s various competitions.

 

Winners and runners up were all very proud of their achievements and thanked the Club for its support.

 

The Annual General Meeting was a great success and provided an opportunity for members to come together and celebrate the Club’s achievements.

 

The new authorities are committed to continuing the Club’s success and providing a vibrant and welcoming environment for all members.
